Why drains block
Grease, hair, soap scum and food collect on the pipe wall over time and narrow the opening. Tree roots enter at joints in older clay lines and grow into the pipe, which is why we also offer storm drain cleaning.
A snake punches through the middle of a clog. Jetting scours the whole pipe wall, which is why it lasts longer.
When to call a plumber
Call when more than one fixture is slow, when a drain backs up repeatedly, or when sewage is rising. Those point to the main line, not a single trap.
A camera check shows whether the pipe is sound. If it is cracked or collapsed, we explain the repair options before any work.
Safe care at home
Never pour chemical drain cleaner into a fully blocked line. It can sit against the pipe and damage it.
Use screens, keep grease out of the sink, and run water after use. For how we find the cause, read how a plumber diagnoses a leak, clog or failed system.
